The Cincinnati Bengals know they have a showdown with the Baltimore Ravens coming after the bye week, which is why they’re already talking about seeing Trey Hendrickson again.
Something else to track, though: Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is battling an injury again.
Jackson has been dealing with an ankle sprain that cost him Wednesday’s practice ahead of Baltimore’s Week 6 game against the 3-2 Cleveland Browns.
Last week, Jackson missed the Ravens’ 30-23 overtime escape of the 2-3 Atlanta Falcons, where backup Tyler Huntley threw for two scores and added another as a rusher.
If nothing else, it’s something to watch from a Bengals perspective. It would be helpful if the Ravens dropped to 4-2, though two AFC North teams beating up on each other
is good no matter the outcome.
Seeing Huntley instead of Jackson, too, would be ideal for Dexter Lawrence’s defense ahead of going on the road to Baltimore after the bye. It won't be an easy game either way, but the Bengals are surely keeping a close eye on all things Lamar Jackson injury updates right now.
