Joe Burrow was far less impressed with his performance than the final score suggested after the Cincinnati Bengals moved to 2-0.
Burrow threw two touchdown passes to Ja’Marr Chase in Cincinnati’s 20-6 road victory over the Houston Texans.
But he gave himself a less than tepid review.
“I was incredibly average,” Burrow said, via Mike Petraglia of CLNS Media. “We’re getting better, but it’s a great win. We did some good things, but a lot to learn from.”

Burrow completed 20 of 31 passes for 207 yards without an interception. His scoring throws to Chase covered 32 and 18 yards, helping Cincinnati
build a 17-3 third-quarter lead.
Houston sacked Burrow five times and limited Cincinnati to 267 total yards. The Bengals went scoreless in the first quarter and led only 7-3 at halftime.
Burrow capitalized on his opportunities, though, as Chase finished with seven receptions for 75 yards, while Tee Higgins supplied five catches for 95 yards.
The Bengals’ defense held Houston without a touchdown despite allowing 374 yards. Cincinnati also produced a pivotal fourth-down stop before halftime.
All in all, the Bengals will certainly take an undefeated start regardless of Burrow's statement.
