The Cincinnati Bengals have more than their 2-2 start to overcome when they travel to Miami on Sunday.
The Miami Dolphins revealed a wild piece of series history Wednesday, which is Miami owning a 10-1 record against Cincinnati in games played during October. The Dolphins also hold an 18-9 advantage in the all-time series.
Several notable meetings have contributed to that lopsided October record.
Miami defeated Cincinnati 22-20 on Halloween in 2013 when Cameron Wake sacked Andy Dalton in the end zone for an overtime safety. The Dolphins also swept the two famous “Shula Bowls” in October 1994 and 1995, when Miami coach Don Shula faced Bengals head coach and son David Shula.
Cincinnati does have much more positive recent history in Miami.
The Bengals
visited Hard Rock Stadium late in the 2025 season and rolled to a 45-21 victory. Joe Burrow threw four touchdown passes and recorded a 146.5 passer rating, which Bengals.com called the best road passer rating in franchise history.
Cincinnati will try to produce a similar result Sunday before its Week 6 bye.
