The Cincinnati Bengals didn’t take long to address the Colbie Young injury.
Ahead of Week 4, the Bengals signed Mitchell Tinsley off the Houston Texans’ practice squad, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
It’s a quick reunion for Tinsley and the Bengals, as he would’ve been on the final 53-man roster in Cincinnati again this season, were it not for the major breakout of Dohnte Meyers.
Now, Tinsley is back on the 53 and will likely be active right away with Young injured for an unknown amount of time and Andrei Iosivas sitting on injured reserve as he works back from thumb surgery.
Tinsley, 27, went undrafted in 2023 and landed with the Bengals in 2025, making the final roster after a strong preseason. He appeared in 17 games last year with two touchdowns,
earning a one-year contract extension before getting waived at final cuts. He joined Houston's practice squad for what seemed like a more direct line to playing time before the current injury crisis with the Bengals.
