Joe Burrow has a clear-cut description for what Samaje Perine brings to the Cincinnati Bengals.
The veteran running back earned that praise following Sunday’s 31-24 victory over the Miami Dolphins, helping Cincinnati head into its bye week with a win.
“He is just Mr. Reliable and he has been my entire time here,” Burrow said, according to NBC 5's Charlie Clifford’s postgame report.

Perine rushed for 68 yards on 14 carries and caught two passes for 10 yards and a touchdown.
His scoring reception came on third-and-goal early in the second quarter. Burrow found Perine for a 6-yard touchdown to put Cincinnati ahead 14-7, finishing a possession that consumed more
than seven minutes.
That was a timely contribution in a game the Bengals won by a single score.
Burrow spread his four touchdown passes among Perine, Mike Gesicki, Tanner Hudson and Ja’Marr Chase, distributing across several pieces of its offense.
For Perine, his quarterback’s evaluation highlighted the trust behind those opportunities. When Cincinnati needed to finish a lengthy drive, Burrow turned to a classic target.
The Bengals improved to 3-2 and will return from their bye with a road game against the Baltimore Ravens.
