While former Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon commands the headlines right now, he’s not the only former Bengals player in the news.
There’s also more Carl Lawson news worth a quick look too.
Lawson signed with the Indianapolis Colts practice squad this week, making him the latest in a long line of former Bengals players to re-up with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo.
This time last year, Lawson actually signed with an AFC North rival, which created a little stir.
A fourth-round pick by the Bengals in 2017, Lawson was a key figure in a debate amongst the fanbase as to whether the Bengals should have brought him back after his rookie deal. The team went the Trey Hendrickson route instead while Lawson bounced from the New York Jets to a one-off
stint with the Dallas Cowboys in 2024.
Now, Lawson lands with Anarumo and could see work while the Colts deal with injuries.
