Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow created minor concern during the first practice of the week by throwing notably less than usual.
Speculation ran rampant online about Burrow’s severely reduced activity compared to the norm for obvious reasons.
Speaking with reporters after practice at his usual media session, Burrow said that he had back tightness that wasn't anything out of the ordinary. He also made it clear that he would play in Week 2.
Exiting the Week 1 win over Tampa Bay, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor had suggested some veterans would get light days during the first practice of the week, but that there were zero notable injury concerns.
So, no concern here. Burrow and the Bengals travel to Houston this week to play the Texans in Week
2, with Joe Flacco the primary backup on the depth chart.
