While the Cincinnati Bengals tour Madrid, Spain and take in the sights before kickoff against the Atlanta Falcons, their AFC North rival Pittsburgh Steelers sit on a bye week.
And those Steelers have the Bengals on the mind.
Appearing on The Gridiron podcast, Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey addressed the upcoming matchup with Bengals wideouts Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
“I ain’t gonna sit on here and lie to y’all, it’s a challenge. But we ready for all that. We want all that. Whatever comes with it, we gonna prepare, we gonna work our a---- off, we gonna be ready to go out there and make it however long of a fight it needs to be out there,” Ramsey said. “We’re just trying to keep stacking up these wins.”
Notable, yet mild commentary from the
Steelers, considering Chase was suspended for spitting on Ramsey during a heated encounter roughly one year ago.
Earlier this season in Pittsburgh, Joe Burrow threw three touchdowns, with Chase catching nine passes for 98 yards and a score and Higgins six and 90 for a score, yet the Bengals lost 30-27 in a game defined by literal lost jobs after a roughing-the-punter penalty and a muffed punt.
If the Bengals beat the Falcons, they’ll go into the rematch with the 6-2 Steelers at 6-2 themselves, setting up a battle for first place in the AFC North.
Ramsey and the Steelers sound ready.
