The Cincinnati Bengals played it secretive with Joe Burrow’s back discomfort during practice before last week’s win over the Houston Texans.
Don’t expect much different during the buildup to the Week 3 encounter with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This is all Bengals head coach Zac Taylor had to say on the topic early this week, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com: "I think I know the answer to that, but I don't want to give you that right now."
Burrow had what he described as some back tightness during the first practice of last week, but steadily ramped up before full work in Houston. Due to league roles and precaution, the Bengals listed him as "questionable" since the “probable” tag doesn’t exist anymore.
A little gamesmanship there? Maybe, but
the Bengals don’t want to have any more ridiculous investigations by the NFL pop up due to Burrow’s injury status.
