The Cincinnati Bengals made it clear when others got hurt that they highly trust rookie wideout Colbie Young.
Young, though, got hurt on pretty much his first chance to be a bigger part of a game plan.
Now "questionable" after a limited practice in Week 5 before the game against the Miami Dolphins, the rookie could be gearing up for another chance at a big contribution in Joe Burrow’s offense.
"(Young) is really physical. He hasn't had a lot of opportunities in the pass game, but he's been where we need him to be," Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. "Just felt like he had a great understanding of what we're trying to do. And he was doing a good job to try and create a role for him that expanded what he could
do for us a little bit. That went out the window quick."
Young really made an impression on Bengals coaches and onlookers over the summer. Were it not for the shocking rise of Dohnte Meyers, he would’ve been the main storyline.
Either way, if Young goes in Miami, he could spotlight just as much as Meyers in the offense. Both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are questionable for the AFC showdown due to injury.
Given what onlookers have seen so far, Burrow is just as happy as Taylor to have Young out there, too.
