The Cincinnati Bengals could have two under-the-radar pass catchers primed for bigger roles against the Miami Dolphins.
Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton named wide receiver Dohnte Meyers and tight end Mike Gesicki among his biggest fantasy football sleepers for Week 5, pointing to Cincinnati’s injuries and a favorable matchup in Miami.
Meyers is coming off the best game of his NFL career, catching seven of nine targets for 82 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Moton noted that either Ja’Marr Chase or Tee Higgins missing Sunday’s game could push Meyers into an even more prominent role.
That possibility remains very real since Chase returned to practice in a limited capacity Thursday while working through concussion protocol, but Higgins missed his
second straight practice because of groin and neck injuries.
Meyers has drawn significant praise from Zac Taylor, who said his ability to make defenders miss is about as close to Chase as Cincinnati has had.
Gesicki also landed on Moton’s sleeper list. He has caught at least three passes and scored a touchdown in three of Cincinnati’s first four games.
Moton noted Miami has surrendered the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends before Week 5.
