Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton is in the news again.
This time, it’s Dalton turning down a team as a free agent.
For those out of the loop, yes, Dalton was employed by the Philadelphia Eagles this season. But those Eagles cut him back on October 9 and only recently decided that they, indeed, wanted him back.
But Dalton hit them with a no thanks.
Dalton got cut, then saw the Eagles regret the decision pretty quickly with Jalen Hurts out indefinitely. Word is, though, that Dalton will instead sign with a new team soon, rejecting the 2-4 and nosediving Eagles.
It won’t be with the Bengals, obviously, as they have Joe Flacco behind Joe Burrow. Dalton has played for the Cowboys, Bears, Saints, Panthers and now Eagles after leaving the Bengals in 2019.
