The Cincinnati Bengals couldn’t ask for a better situation going into the Week 7 encounter with the Baltimore Ravens.
No more speculation about Lamar Jackson’s injury. No mind games that run up to kickoff on Sunday. Nothing. Just Jackson’s ankle injury being so bad that the Ravens decided to simply rule him out on Saturday by downgrading him to out.
In for Jackson will be Tyler Huntley, who has gone 1-1 over his last two, throwing for three scores in the process.
As Bengals fans will remember, it was Huntley who started against the Bengals in the playoffs in 2022, throwing two touchdowns and one score, but having the fumble that Sam Hubbard returned 98 yards for a score to swing the outcome.
If the Bengals can take advantage of this on the road,
they could move to 4-2 and jump the Ravens, if not others, in the AFC North.
