How the Cincinnati Bengals manage starters during the preseason has been a pretty hot topic over the last couple of years.
This year? Taylor plans to let his starters get out there during Week 1.
Speaking with reporters around Thursday’s training camp practice, Taylor said that his starters will see some action during next Thursday’s opener against the Detroit Lions in Cincinnati.
Granted, Taylor merely threw out “a little bit” when asked about the topic. But it’s pretty transparent from Taylor, all things considered. And it’s at least a little surprising, given how the Bengals have treated preseason most years under him.
Overall, it’s probably wise for fans to expect a series or two from Joe Burrow’s offense.
