The Cincinnati Bengals have the week off, but they'll be keeping a close eye on the Baltimore Ravens.
Those Ravens won’t have star quarterback Lamar Jackson in Week 6 during the Bengals’ bye. He’s battling an ankle injury thats severity “will be a prevailing concern” in the coming weeks, per NFL.com’s Grant Gordon.
Notable, considering the Bengals are technically last in the AFC North at 3-2, but every team there is 3-2 except the division-leading Ravens at 4-1. If the Ravens drop the game in Cleveland in Week 6, it shakes things up.
Ravens backup Tyler Huntley was shaky until a late surge in a Week 5 overtime win over Atlanta, so the Ravens missing Jackson could end up being a bigger deal than it seems.
The Bengals visit those Ravens in Week 7
after their bye week, so coming in fresh while the Ravens just went through an AFC North battle and Jackson is either just coming back or even out for the game could really swing things in Cincinnati’s direction.
