The Cincinnati Bengals made a handful of serious roster moves ahead of Week 4 in response to injuries and in-game mistakes.
As reported, the Bengals signed Mitch Tinsley off the Houston Texans' practice squad.
Unexpected, though, was the Bengals announcing that cornerback Jalen Davis will go to injured reserve due to a hamstring injury suffered during the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
That Davis injury is a big one. He’s the starting slot corner, so the Bengals might now be forced to kick Dax Hill from the boundary into the slot. That’s not his strong suit by comparison. In theory, it could force names like DJ Iviey and rookie Tacario Davis into action on the boundary.
In other moves, the Bengals waived returner Ke'Shawn Williams after his serious
mistakes in Pittsburgh and signed tight end Tanner Hudson off the practice squad to the active roster. The Bengals also added safeties Isaiah Nwokobia and Beau Brade to the practice squad.
