Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow officially joined the injury report ahead of Week 2 and the road game against the Houston Texans.
Burrow dramatically entered the fray during the first practice of the week before squashing concerns during a press conference.
Here’s a live-updating list of Burrow updates starting with Day 2 of prep for the Week 2 game.
Joe Burrow injury updates
- Thursday, according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, Burrow did the usual early throws and ramp-up before working on 20-yard outs during the session open to the media. Some media from that:
Much more normal early routine from. Burrow today. Up as QB1 and going through these drills in typical fashion.

Joe Burrow’s Week 2 outlook
No big deal. Burrow was listed as limited on Wednesday. Real concern around “injured” players starts when they don’t show up to practice because
they’re working inside with trainers and getting treatment, or even off to the side with trainers on the practice field.
Burrow, on the other hand, made some throws and looked like a guy who is sore before hitting the podium for an interview, where he described himself as having back soreness. Odds are, were things serious, the presser doesn’t even happen.
Back issues can obviously be tricky, but there’s nothing here to suggest Burrow’s is anything serious that deserves as much hype as it’s getting.
