It turns out the Amarius Mims breakout for the Cincinnati Bengals wasn’t a fluke at all.
Mims turned in a solid Week 1 to start the season, then put up another elite showing in Houston during the win over the Texans.
Looking at the calendar, Week 2 was always the date to circle in red, with the Texans hoping Will Anderson and an overall elite pass-rush could get after Joe Burrow all day.
Mims said no.
As illustrated by Gridiron Grading, Mims allowed zero pressure on 34 pass-blocking snaps in initial grading, bringing him to an elite mark through two games:

This was the high-end upside the Bengals hoped for when they drafted Mims. The only question mark at the time was durability/availability, but the signs that he was headed in a superb direction started flashing down the stretch last season.
If Mims stays on the field at this high level of play, he’s going to bully his way into All-Pro discussions. Along the way, a little peace of mind against strong AFC North pass-rushers won’t hurt, either.
