The saga of former Cincinnati Bengals guard Kevin Zeitler continues.
This time, the former Bengals first-round pick from 2012 has found a new home in free agency with the Green Bay Packers.
Tracking Zeitler’s post-Bengals career has always been super interesting. He was at the nexus of a misguided roster-building strategy by the franchise many years ago now, arriving only via a draft in which the team had two first-round picks and never getting a chance at a second contract.
Zeitler has since gone on to have a stellar career and is still effective at the age of 36. Had he remained in Cincinnati this whole time, he’d be a shoo-in Bengals Ring of Honor member.
Alas, Zeitler is off to potentially start right away for a hopeful contender in Green Bay.
The Bengals have changed their stance on the importance of guards since and have the solid Dalton Risner-Dylan Fairchild combo between center Ted Karras.
