The Cincinnati Bengals have some interesting travel plans this week.
Zac Taylor’s Bengals will grab a flight overseas for next Sunday’s game in Madrid, Spain, after practice on Tuesday.
That means an off day Wednesday for the Bengals, then practice Thursday and Friday at the Spanish National Team Training Facility.
“The week shapes up different,” Taylor said, according to Joe Reedy of the Associated Press. “It speeds up the coaches a bit so that the comfort of being here in our office is different than on the road. As much as you can get done here before you get on the plane, you’d prefer to do that. Clean things up as you go. You treat it like a six-day week.”
So, expect to see plenty of updates from the team and players post-practice on Tuesday
and as they journey to Madrid. Maybe plenty from an off day on Wednesday, too.
The goal, of course, is to get the players overseas and acclimated to a normal lifestyle there as quickly as possible before they play the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday (9:30 a.m. ET kickoff time).
