Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor told reporters that Joe Burrow was good to go for the Week 2 game against the Houston Texans, silencing any concerns from fans and outsiders.
Then the Bengals dropped the injury report.
The Bengals listed Burrow as questionable on the final injury report. Typically, that means a 50-50 chance for a player to suit up.
But everything about the week for Burrow has suggested the "questionable" tag is a tad…dramatic. He ramped up to full-go on Friday, so barring a setback, he’ll play.
There are a few interesting things here. The “probable” tag doesn’t really get used anymore. And as Bengals fans might recall from a few years ago, the NFL "investigated" the Bengals after the whole fiasco of Burrow not being on the injury
report despite his seemingly wearing a protective device on his wrist. Ever since, the Bengals have been super precautionary with their injury listings.
