Much has already been said about the Cincinnati Bengals encountering Trey Hendrickson again, especially because of his lingering injury status for the Baltimore Ravens.
But there’s also the usual “revenge game” narrative starting to make the rounds.
Hendrickson’s end in Cincinnati was messy courtesy of a contract spat with the club. But that end isn’t something on the minds of Bengals players this week as they get ready to line up against the Ravens.
In fact, Bengals tackle Orlando Brown Jr. instead spent time talking about how his years of practice against Hendrickson will play a role in Sunday’s game.
"That's who he is. That's why I respect him. He's a fighter," Brown said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. "I think it helps him. I think it helps me.
Just in terms of the feel. The feel of his rushes, his counter. How much? I can't put my finger on that. But at the end of the day, I've got to play Sunday."
Brown isn’t surprised, nor will Bengals fans be surprised, to find out that Hendrickson has battled through injury to register two sacks and one of the best pressure rates so far the Ravens.
Now, the Bengals line, including Brown and Amarius Mims, will need to keep Hendrickson off Joe Burrow in live action.
