The Cincinnati Bengals left Paycor Stadium with a 22-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, but head coach Zac Taylor wasn't ready to let the score define his team.
Speaking after the game, Taylor pointed to the Bengals’ response as the reason he's confident in what lies ahead.
“I am allowed to see the silver lining, and that this team’s got a lot of fight,” Taylor said, via CLNS' Mike Petraglia. “And if I get this team for 14 more weeks, 13 more weeks, whatever it is, I’m signing up for that all day because we’re gonna have a great year.”

Cincinnati fell to 2-2 after failing to complete a late comeback. The Bengals cut Jacksonville’s lead to five with just under four minutes remaining and got the ball back with 1:56 left, but could not reach the end zone.
Joe Burrow threw for 428 yards and one touchdown while adding a rushing score, although two interceptions helped swing the game. Tee Higgins finished with 11 catches for 157 yards.
Taylor acknowledged the missed chances while stressing that Cincinnati lost to a quality opponent.
“We had opportunities there,” Taylor said. “I think we’re going to look back tomorrow and be upset with ourselves.”
The Bengals now head to Miami in Week 5 looking to turn Taylor’s optimism into a bounce-back win.
