The Jacksonville Jaguars announced a pair of roster moves prior to Sunday's training camp practice.
The Jaguars have signed linebacker Jared Bartlett and waived wide receiver Ben Patterson to make room on the roster.
What to know about LB Jared Bartlett
Bartlett went undrafted in 2025 out of Cincinnati. He appeared in two games on special teams with the Arizona Cardinals, contributing to four of the six different phases, while playing 35 total snaps.
Over six college seasons, five of which were spent at West Virginia and the last at Cincinnati, Bartlett played over 2,200 defensive snaps. He was very effective as a blitzer from the linebacker position, totaling 49 pressures over his final two seasons. Bartlett also graded out well as a run defender in his final season, according to PFF's
metrics.
Why did the Jaguars sign Jared Bartlett?
This move comes while Jack Kiser is sidelined with an injury. Bartlett provides some needed depth during these training camp practices at linebacker.
Patterson signed with the Jaguars after the 2026 NFL draft as an undrafted free agent.
