Tuesday's training camp practice brought another defensive-heavy day for theJacksonville Jaguars' Travis Hunter.
On Monday, Hunter played 20 defensive snaps with none coming on offense. On Tuesday, ESPN's Michael DiRocco counted Hunter playing 19 defensive snaps during the 11-on-11 periods and only two on offense.
John Shipley of Jaguars on SI would note that Hunter's two offensive snaps came with Nick Mullens, and not Trevor Lawrence, even with Parker Washington sidelined. Hunter did get one touch in his limited offensive reps.

Defensively, Jamal St. Cyr posted on X two instances where Hunter was matched up with Brian Thomas Jr. Both throws ended up as completions.
Hunter also came up to make a stop on a completed pass to Austin Trammell.

Pass complete Hunter in coverage
In a recent articleby DiRocco, he noted that not many targets have come Hunter's way in training camp, a product of his ball skills, instincts, and length at the cornerback position.
"When you have length and anticipation and have a good feel for routes, I think that the playmaking, getting your hands on balls or just denying the ball with good coverage, that's a win in itself that I think goes a little bit unnoticed from corners," Coen said, via ESPN. "It's like, yeah, when they don't get a lot of work, it's probably because they're doing their job and doing it at a high level, so I've been pleased with him."
The Jaguars still plan to have Hunter play both ways, but it certainly looks like the team is ramping him up for a heavy cornerback workload come Week 1. What his playing time at wideout ends up looking like still remains to be seen.
