The Jacksonville Jaguars are back on the practice field on Wednesday in preparation for their season-opener against the Cleveland Browns.
Entering the week, the statuses of Cole Van Lanen and LeQuint Allen remain up in the air at this time. Van Lanen is still ramping up from a knee injury that sidelined him late last season, while Allen suffered a soft tissue injury on Aug. 17 and has been out since.
Both will be game-time decisions on Sunday.
"I think he'll be a game-time decision," Coen said of Van Lanen. "I would imagine working him out before the game and seeing what that's going to look like. Just using every op we can to get him to potentially be ready to go. We'll kind of take it all the way up to game time with that one."

spending much of training camp at left tackle with Van Lanen out, once Van Lanen does return, he will take over at right tackle. In his absence, Walker Little has been filling in.
"Yeah, you want to get him in," Coen added. "You want to be able to get him some work, get him some reps, get him feeling confident in a game-like setting. Missing the joints and all the other ops that our other guys obviously had throughout training camp, but I've really liked his mindset, I've like the way he's attacked putting himself in precarious positions and owning it. I think he's been very intentional about that and has been fearless with putting himself in some of the positions that he has throughout the course of practice. So I've really appreciated that and we'll see what it looks like on Sunday."
Allen often filled a third-down role as a rookie, excelling in pass protection from the running back position. This season, those responsibilities will continue to be on his plate, but he could see more opportunities in the pass game as well.
If Allen can't go on Sunday, Ameer Abdullah will be the Jaguars' third running back behind Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez.
"Yeah, he'll be exactly very similar to Cole that way, where we'll work him out, we'll get a game-time decision from him," said Coen. "It's been a while, so we'll have to work through it, but I have a lot of faith in LeQuint and trust in him to be able to know the game plan and give us a chance if he's ready to go in that workout. I'll feel confident that he can come in and help our team."
