This offseason, Travon Walker, Ross Matiscik, and Brenton Strange all received contract extensions. One would think that Parker Washington is the next man up in that regard for theJacksonville Jaguars.
That, however, is not where Washington's attention lies as he enters the final year of his rookie deal.
“For me, it’s just staying focused, keeping the main thing the main thing, and letting my agent and everybody in the front office talk about it," Washington said, via Action Sports Jax. "I just want to come out here and be a professional and just keep being me. I just want to continue to be a great leader in the receiver room. Take those next steps and being a great example to the guys."

As the 2025 season progressed, Washington emerged as a go-to target for Lawrence. Including the postseason, Washington eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark in three of the Jaguars' final four games.
In all four contests, he was targeted by Trevor Lawrence at least nine times. Washington is versatile, able to run a variety of routes, and he adds a YAC element to the offense.
Through three training camp practices, Washington seems to be picking up where he left off, frequently targeted by Trevor Lawrence and putting together some impressive performances early on.
"He can run the whole route tree,"Lawrence said."I think that's what really makes him dangerous, is because he can go over the top too. But I would say, obviously, underneath, when he catches a ball and the ball is in his hand, there aren't many guys who can tackle him."
