As we continue to take a look back at the Jacksonville Jaguars' Week 4 performance against the Cincinnati Bengals, let's highlight some noteworthy snap count figures.
For the most part, when it comes to playing time, there aren't many huge surprises, but each week, particularly early on, there are a few things we can glean.
With help from PFF, here are a few quick notes from the Jaguars' snap count totals from Week 4.
It's all defense for Travis Hunter
Due to injuries at the cornerback position, there was no rotation this week, which meant that Hunter played all 76 defensive snaps. This also meant that he didn't play any snaps on offense. At cornerback, Hunter turned in aterrific performance.
"Had some things for him on offense," Coen said, "but we just didn't feel like putting him out
there -- 'oh man, he gets hurt on offense, we're in a real bad spot.' So didn't want to put ourselves at risk there."
More snaps for Brian Thomas Jr.
After playing just 23 snaps against New England, Thomas Jr. played 38 snaps this past Sunday. This was the third-most on the team, behind Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers. With those opportunities, Thomas Jr. hauled in two passes for 17 yards, including a touchdown, and made a key block on Chris Rodriguez's touchdown run. Coen was quite pleased with Thomas Jr.'s performance.
Jaguars' defensive end rotation
For the second week in a row, UDFA Bryan Thomas Jr. continues to out-snap Danny Striggow. This week, Thomas Jr. played 15 snaps to Striggow's nine. Also a key part of this rotation was Dennis Gardeck, who played 22 snaps.
