The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without left tackle Anton Harrison for the time being.
After exiting Sunday's win over Philadelphia with a knee injury, the Jaguars placed Harrison on injured reserve on Tuesday. At a minimum, he will have to miss four games, but exactly how long Harrison will be sidelined is not yet known.
According to Ian Rapoport, Harrison will undergo a procedure once back from London, and at that time, the surgeon will determine what has to be done to repair the injury. Ultimately, that decision will determine if Harrison is out several weeks or several months.
On Wednesday, Liam Coen discussed Harrison's absence and what's next at left tackle for the Jaguars.
"We'll just figure it out when we get back," Coen said of Harrison's
injury. "You guys saw last night obviously that when we get back he'll have a little procedure. See what it looks like in there. Don't have any new news on what it could really look like until we get in there. So we'll just take it day by day."
After Harrison left Sunday's game, Walker Little took over at left tackle. Presumably, he will be the starter there moving forward. Little didn't allow any quarterback pressures against the Eagles, and he's an experienced player with 39 career starts under his belt.
Awaiting Little and Cole Van Lanen is a difficult test against Will Anderson Jr. and the Houston pass rushers. As Coen said, limiting their production is not only on the Jaguars' tackles, but it will take all 11 players on offense and a good plan from the coaching staff.
"Any time you lose a player for a game, it's always a challenge," Coen added, "but I have a lot of confidence in Walker and Cole to go in there and these guys have played these guys so many times and have had success against the man what they're in for in terms of the battle and next-man-up mentality."
