Fantasy football analyst Matt Okada from NFL.com believes that Jacksonville Jaguars'tight end Brenton Strange should be on your bench in Week 5.
As Okada notes, last week was a good outing for Strange, but the Eagles will present a more difficult tight end matchup.
"Strange was excellent in Week 4, with seven catches for 95 yards ... but that was a matchup against the TE-friendly Bengals. He had seven catches total in the three games prior," wrote Okada. "If you picked him up off waivers, keep him tucked away on your bench for now."
According to CBS Sports, on average this season, opposing tight ends are averaging four receptions and 39 receiving yards against the Eagles. A tight end is yet to score a touchdown.
It would seem that outside of Parker
Washington, it's difficult to gauge on a weekly basis how many targets each of the Jaguars' pass-catchers will see. In the Liam Coen offense, the ball gets spread around.
And while blocking doesn't necessarily impact your fantasy football scoreboard, Strange plays an important role in the run game, and his well-rounded skill set opens up the playbook for Coen with all the different hats he can wear.
Through four games, Strange has caught 14 of 18 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown.
