The Jacksonville Jaguars are searching the trade market for a defensive tackle, and not just any defensive tackle, but a "top-tier" player, according to Ian Rapoport.
"My understanding is the Jacksonville Jaguars, James Gladstone, the general manager, have been working the phones the last several days, targeting a top-tier defensive lineman," Rapoport said on Tuesday.
Regarding whether or not the Jaguars find a trade partner, Rapoport said, "we don't know" at this time.

Defensive tackle was likely already on GM James Gladstone's radar -- it's arguably been a position
of need dating back to the offseason -- but that need has now been heightened with the Jaguars losing DaVon Hamilton to the season with a quad injury.
Without Hamilton, the Jaguars will have to rely even more heavily on Arik Armstead, Ruke Orhorhoro, and rookie Albert Regis. Jacksonville signed veteran Austin Johnson to the practice squad on Monday as well.
With the trade deadline approaching, we recently took a look at the Jaguars' salary cap situation and their 2027 draft capital, which will be important factors in determining if a deal can be made.
This year's NFL trade deadline is Nov. 10.
