The Jacksonville Jaguars entered the bye week at 4-2 on the season. So, knowing what we know now about this team, what might the Jaguars' final record be?
There is still a lot of the season left, with 11 games to be played, but unlike during any preseason predictions, we do have a decent sample size to look at as we project how the rest of the season could unfold.
On both sides of the ball this season, the Jaguars have been effective. The offense ranks eighth in points per game, creating big plays through the air while remaining productive on the ground.
The defense, meanwhile, continues to be quite stingy, ranking first in points per game behind a stout run defense and takeaways in the secondary.
That said, as is the case with every team, there
are areas of improvement needed as well. More consistency from the offensive line and more sacks from the defensive front are ways in which the Jaguars can take a step forward during the second half of the season.
At 4-2, the Jaguars have a firm grasp on the AFC South division lead and sit well in the overall AFC playoff picture. Can they maintain that standing or even improve it coming out of the bye week?
