Travis Hunter gave the Jacksonville Jaguars their best glimpse yet of what his two-way impact can look like against the Houston Texans, but Liam Coen still isn't planning to overreact to one game.
Hunter played a season-high nine offensive snaps in Jacksonville's 34-31 loss to Houston and made the most of them, catching all four of his targets for 59 yards and a touchdown. He also played 62 defensive snaps, with an end-zone interception of C.J. Stroud in the fourth quarter.
The performance naturally raised the question of whether Jacksonville should dramatically increase Hunter's offensive workload coming out of the bye. Coen's answer Monday was essentially to keep building on his growing roles on both offense and defense.

"Just keep chomping away at it," Coen said. "We're not going to over rotate to a good game. We want to continue to build. There's a lot of games left in the season."
Hunter's role has been defense-heavy this season. Through six games, he has played 311 defensive snaps, compared to just 31 on offense. Against Houston, however, Jacksonville made a concerted effort to get him more involved offensively, and Coen acknowledged after the game that doing so had been part of the plan.
He caught three passes for 40 yards on Jacksonville's fourth-quarter touchdown drive, including a 7-yard score that pulled the Jaguars within three points. On Houston's next possession, he intercepted Stroud in the end zone to prevent the Texans from extending their lead.
Still, Coen said Jacksonville's approach will remain centered on what gives the entire team its best chance to win rather than chasing a specific snap total for Hunter.
"We want to make sure that we're continuing to build on the right trajectory that gives us the best chance to win on Sundays," Coen said. "We've won a lot of games with him maybe not playing 100 snaps. And last week, you saw his impact and effect on games where he is playing more."
That balancing act is unlikely to disappear. Hunter has developed into a near-every-down cornerback, playing 98% of Jacksonville's defensive snaps against Houston, while his offensive role remains more selective and package-based.
"It's about the team. It's about the group," Coen said. "He's no different. And he's going to continue to help us win on Sundays."
