The Jacksonville Jaguars saw a strong performance from Ezra Cleveland in 2025. The veteran lineman has played in Jacksonville since 2023, but only surpassed 1,000 snaps last season and proved he was capable of still performing at a strong level.
Despite having the 15th-most regular-season snaps amongst left and right guards combined, he committed just three penalties. He gave up just 24 pressures on 650 pass rush snaps, and tied for 21st in pass-blocking efficiency among 87 guards. Cleveland was a consistent and reliable guard, and is being acknowledged for it now.
Dalton Wasserman ranked the top 32 guards in the league for Pro Football Focus, and Cleveland made the list, coming in at No. 27, with Wasserman praising him for bringing stability
to the Jaguars' offensive line.
"His 71.4 PFF pass-blocking grade ranked 19th among qualified guards," he wrote. "Including the postseason, Cleveland allowed just four sacks on 684 pass-blocking snaps. He should continue to provide a reliable presence as Jacksonville's starting left guard this season."
Cleveland may not be flashy, but the quiet consistency he provides is exactly what Jacksonville needs from its offensive line in front of Trevor Lawrence. Interior pressure can ruin a running play and prevent a quarterback from stepping into the pocket even when the offensive tackles hold up, making dependable guard play especially important to sustaining the Jaguars’ passing attack.
There was a lot of change across the line throughout the season, but Cleveland remained established at left guard and started there 16 times. The PFF ranking solidifies that Jacksonville enters 2026 with a reliable answer at one of the five offensive line positions, which carries real value as the Jaguars sort through competition elsewhere up front.
