With the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday for a joint practice, let's take a look at where Travis Hunter lined up and how he performed.
During the previous two days, almost every one of Hunter's 11-on-11 snaps came at cornerback. That continued in the joint practice.
ESPN's Michael DiRocco was tracking each one of Hunter's team reps and noted that he played 30 total snaps, with 28 of them coming on offense.
DiRocco noted that Hunter had two standout plays on defense, forcing a pass breakup on one attempt and then a throwaway on another while defending Panthers' wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan.
Jamal St. Cyr also posted that Hunter came up to make a stop on a short throw from Panthers' quarterback Bryce Young to running
back Jonathon Brooks.

Day 16 snaps: 30 (28 defense, 2 offense)
Total snaps: 229 (163 defense, 65 offense, 1 special teams) (not including Saints joint practice)
Joint practice with Panthers. Had PBU & covered McMillan to force throwaway.
Hunter's heavy usage on defense seems to be the new norm -- at least for the time being. As was the expectation coming into training camp, Hunter is going to play a key role at cornerback this season, with the Jaguars still wanting to get him involved on offense as well, although what his playing time looks like at wide receiver isn't as obvious and could ebb and flow from week to week.
In total this summer, Hunter has played 229 snaps in 11-on-11 with 163 coming on defense and 65 on offense.
