Sports Illustrated NFL insider Albert Breer believes that the Jacksonville Jaguars' organization has turned a corner over the last year-plus under the leadership of Tony Boselli, James Gladstone, and Liam Coen.
As Breer highlighted recently, many may have forgotten that the Jaguars posted 13 wins last season. And in Breer's eyes, that wasn't a fluke. He seems to be bullish on Jacksonville's ability to maintain long-term success moving forward.
"I don’t think Jacksonville wins 13 games again in 2026, but I do think they’ve turned the tide with a group—in exec Tony Boselli, GM James Gladstone and head coach Liam Coen—that’s moving in lockstep and has started to create a very real, comprehensive program in a place that long had a lot of foxes in the henhouse
(which they paid a price for since ownership isn’t there day to day to officiate those sorts of things)," wrote Breer.
In Year 1 under Gladstone, the Jaguars roster was revamped, with heavy turnover on both sides of the ball taking place.
In addition to that, Coen's offensive system helped propel Trevor Lawrence to being an MVP finalist, as the Jaguars finished 2025 on an eight-game winning streak, led by one of the most productive offenses in the game.
Going beyond the on-field production, the established culture, along with Coen's ability as a motivator, has been able to extract the potential out of the players on this roster, thus elevating the play of the team as a whole.
The Jaguars have their own unique approach, particularly when it comes to roster building, which has led to many questioning the moves made, especially this offseason. But the leadership trio of Boselli, Gladstone, and Coen has a clear plan in place, and results at this point can't be denied.
