ESPN's Seth Walder is predicting a quiet game on Sunday for theJacksonville Jaguars' Travon Walker.
For each game, Walder makes one bold prediction. When it comes to the Jaguars vs. Bengals matchup, Walder doesn't think that Walker will make much noise as a pass rusher.
The reason? He'll be up against Bengals' right tackle Amarius Mims.
"Jaguars edge Travon Walker will record no more than one pass rush win," wrote Walder. "That's because Walker will be facing right tackle Amarius Mims, who is off to a hot start with a 92.9% pass block win rate, which ranks third among all tackles."
By PFF's metrics, Mims is yet to surrender a quarterback pressure this season through three games.
That said, Walker has had a very productive start to the season. His
13 quarterback pressures are tied for the ninth-most among all defensive ends. He's also 10th in PFF's pass rush productivity metric.
Against a Bengals' passing game that features Joe Burrow, along with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins at receiver, the Jaguars' ability to generate pressure will be crucial. If Burrow has all day in the pocket, that's the recipe for a long day defensively for Jacksonville.
