With the NFL trade deadline looming, several ESPN analysts proposed hypothetical deals, including one that would add to the Jacksonville Jaguars' defensive tackle position.
Cameron Wolfe proposed that the Jaguars would pursue and land Eagles defensive tackle Moro Ojomo. In return, Jacksonville would send Philadelphia a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fourth-round pick.
As Wolfe mentions, defensive tackle was already a position group "heavy" on the Jaguars' radar as the trade deadline neared. However, losing DaVon Hamilton for the season only adds to that existing need.
At times, Ojomo has looked like the Eagles' best defensive lineman on tape this season," Wolfe wrote. "And though they value him a lot, he is a free agent after this season on a team
that already granted big deals to DTs Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis. This move would allow the 2-6 Eagles to load up on more draft capital, locking in two middle-round picks instead of one potential compensatory pick if Ojomo left in free agency."
Ojomo was a seventh-round pick by the Eagles in 2023 and put together an impressive 2025 season, which included generating 54 QB pressures. He has the versatility to line up in multiple gaps along the defensive front.
With the trade deadline approaching, we recently took a look at the Jaguars' salary cap situation and their 2027 draft capital, which will be important factors in determining if a deal can be made.
This year's NFL trade deadline is Nov. 10.
