The Jacksonville Jaguars walked away from Week 3 with a monster 35-6 victory over the New England Patriots. It was also the 15th regular-season victory of Liam Coen's head-coaching career, making him the fastest coach in franchise history to reach the mark.
He also became the first NFL head coach since Green Bay's Matt LaFleur in 2019-20 to win at least 15 of his first 20 games.

It's the latest example of the dramatic turnaround seen in Jacksonville since Coen was hired before the 2025 season.
The Jaguars had a 4-13 record in 2024. Under Coen, Jacksonville improved to 13-4, won the AFC South, and reached the playoffs. The Jaguars also set franchise records for points scored, touchdowns, and points per game, all under Coen's first season as head coach.
That first-year performance nearly earned him a major honor. He finished second in voting for the 2025 AP NFL Coach of the Year award behind Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. Vrabel received 302 voting points and 19 first-place votes, while Coen finished with 239 points and 16 first-place votes.
That made Sunday's milestone even more fitting, with Coen earning his 15th victory opposite the coach who narrowly beat him out for the award.
Jacksonville is now 2-1 in Coen's second season, responding to a Week 2 loss in Denver with its most decisive victory of the season yet. Trevor Lawrence threw three touchdown passes against New England, while the Jaguars defense forced three turnovers and kept the Patriots from scoring a single touchdown.
20 games into Coen's tenure, the dramatic improvement of his first season is beginning to look less like a one-year surge, and more like the foundation of sustained success.
