The Jacksonville Jaguars announced a number of roster moves on Monday, which includes placing rookie linebacker Parker Hughes on injured reserve.
It has not been reported what injury Hughes is working through, but his season is now over.
Hughes played six special teams snaps in the preseason opener against New Orleans. He was competing with Yasir Abdullah and Jalen McLeod for a roster spot.
The Jaguars also made two additions, signing offensive lineman Timothy McKay and linebacker Baylon Spector.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have made the following roster moves:
— JaguarsPR (@JaguarsPR) August 17, 2026
· Signed OL Timothy McKay
· Signed LB Baylon Spector
· Placed LB Parker Hughes on the Reserve/Injured list
· Waived TE Ethan Conner
Signing McKay bolsters the offensive line depth, with Chuma
Edoga suffering an injury against the Saints. Patrick Mekari and Walker Little have been sidelined as well, along with Cole Van Lanen remaining on the PUP list.
McKay went undrafted in 2025 out of NC State and originally signed with Washington. He did not appear in a regular-season game, spending last season on the Commanders' practice squad.
Spector takes the place of Hughes in the linebacker room. Spector was a seventh-round pick in 2022 and has played 423 career special teams snaps during his four seasons in Buffalo. He's played 332 defensive snaps as well during that span.
Lastly, the Jaguars waived tight end Ethan Conner. He was signed as a UDFA following the 2026 NFL draft.
