The Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 22-17 in Week 4, with a strong performance from two-way star Travis Hunter, who received widespread attention across the league.
The defense is one of the best units in the NFL, making it clear that this is a group as a whole to be feared. But for NFL analyst Brian Baldinger, the Jaguars also have someone else who deserves attention alongside Hunter: Jarrian Jones.
Baldinger believes that Hunter and Jones may be the best cornerback duo in the NFL, which he said will give them a huge edge as they travel to London to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5.
.@Jaguars the team from #duval has the #1 scoring defense in the #NFL. Do they also have the best tandem of CB's in @TravisHunterJr and @JarrianJones
?? if not; whose are better??? #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/0Jx1kwqJAU

Baldinger’s praise comes after perhaps the strongest combined performance yet from Jacksonville’s young cornerbacks. Hunter turned in the best coverage performance of his career yet, while Jones broke up three passes and repeatedly contested throws along the boundary.
Going through the tape from the win over the Bengals, Baldinger pointed to their feet, hands, eyes, tackling, and ability to play the ball as examples of what sets them apart.
"This might be the very best tandem of corners in the business right now," he said. "You watch Travis Hunter right here, play Tee Higgins, ball in the air, he wins the route. He comes down with the ball, and then he, well, he is a receiver too. Now, that interception got called back because of a late hit to Joe Burrow. But together, the way that they defend, like you watch Jarrian Jones down here, they're not giving you anything. I think Jarrian Jones and Travis Hunter might be the best tandem of corners in the business right now. The Eagles will see what they can do over in London this weekend."
