As playing time for Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. continues to decrease, teammate Jakobi Meyers remains confident in the third-year wideout.
Meyers was recently asked by Action Sports Jax about his relationship with Thomas and what words of encouragement he offered over the bye week.
"I just want him to know that he is who he thinks he is, for real," Meyers said. "I know he got high hopes for himself, and he definitely got all the talent in the world, so all you gotta do is keep doing what you're doing, brother, it's probably the best thing for you right now, and it's all going to shake out and make you a better person in the end."

Earlier in the week, Thomas referred to Meyers as a "big brother."
Thomas' role within the offense this season has dwindled. In Week 6 against Houston, he played just 15 snaps, including none in the second half. Thomas also has no receptions over the last two games.
On the year, he has caught only nine passes for 105 yards with a score.
With Thomas struggling to earn steady opportunities, trade speculation has ramped up, although Adam Schefter reported recently that the Jaguars have "shown no signs of engaging in trade talks" about Thomas.
However, Jeremy Fowler's latest intel suggests that those around the NFL think Thomas Jr.'s time with the team is nearing an end.
On Monday, Coen reiterated his confidence in Thomas, saying, "He's going to be able to help us make plays this week."
This week, Thomas addressed the trade speculation that is swirling.
