Looking to build upon last week's big win over New England, theJacksonville Jaguars are now on the road in Week 4, traveling to Cincinnati for a matchup with the Bengals.
Let's check in on who the experts have winning this game. Based on the predictions, many believe this is a contest that could go either way.
NFL.com
Three experts are picking the Jaguars to win, while two are taking the Bengals. Most believe this will be a close game, decided by just a few points. Here is why Bobby Kownack is picking the Jaguars:
"The Jaguars come to town with the most high-functioning offense the Bengals have faced thus far -- by a wide margin. They just blew the doors off the reigning AFC champions, defeating the Patriots, 35-6. Trevor Lawrence enters the contest playing
well, with 616 passing yards, seven touchdowns, two picks and a 107.8 passer rating. If the Bengals prove unable to limit the damage again defensively, Joe Burrow and Co. will have a mighty tough task keeping up against the No. 1 defense in points allowed."
ESPN
Over at ESPN, the Bengals are getting two votes and the Jaguars just one. However, ESPN's FPI prediction model gives Jacksonville a 54.6% chance of winning.
USA Today
The USA Today crew is giving two votes for a Jaguars victory and one for the Bengals. Here is why Nicholas Brinkerhoff is taking Jacksonville:
"The Bengals struggled with the Bucs in Week 1, despite forcing four turnovers. The Bengals struggled to pull away from the Texans in Week 2, despite Houston's offense being nonexistent. The Bengals lost to the lifeless Steelers in Week 3, a team that couldn't score in the first two weeks. Jacksonville is a different beast, with an offense that can score at will. In games like this, coaching will make the difference. Trust Liam Coen to get the better of Zac Taylor."
Pro Football Talk
Mike Floriois picking the Bengals to win a close one, 28-27.
"Trevor Lawrence has beaten every team in the AFC except the Bengals. Last year, Jake Browning engineered the win after Joe Burrow left with a toe injury. And if, as Burrow believes, the 2026 Bengals have 2019 LSU vibes, a 2-2 start is not acceptable."
CBS Sports
Pete Prisco likes the Jaguars to win this one, 23-17.
"The Bengals are back home after two weeks on the road, losing to the Steelers last week. The Jaguars beat up the Patriots last week, but this is a tougher challenge with Joe Burrow and that passing game. The Jaguars lead the league in scoring defense, but that won't hold up here. Bengals take it."
