The Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 19-17, in a Week 5 game from London, and once again, it was another big day from Parker Washington.
With this performance -- and in his overall play this season -- Washington is making it clear that the Jaguars can't afford to let him walk away.
Washington delivered his biggest performance of the season Sunday in London, catching six passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns in Jacksonville's 19-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
His first touchdown came on a 51-yard catch-and-run that gave the Jaguars an early lead. His second was considerably more dramatic: a one-handed 27-yard touchdown grab in the fourth quarter that put the Jaguars back in front with just over three minutes

It was another reminder of just how far Washington has come since being selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Washington entered the final year of his rookie contract this season after breaking out in 2025, when he led the Jaguars with 847 receiving yards on 58 receptions and scored five touchdowns. He is currently scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in March, as he and Jacksonville have so far been unable to come to terms.
And this season, his play has only strengthened his negotiating position.
Through five games, Washington has 22 receptions for 352 yards and four touchdowns. His quiet seven-yard performance against Cincinnati in Week 4 now looks considerably more like an outlier than a sign of a diminished role.
Sunday also showed the different ways Washington can affect a game.
The 51-yard touchdown showcased his ability to create an explosive play after the catch. The fourth-quarter score showed Washington making a difficult one-handed grab in a high-leverage situation with Jacksonville trailing. It is the kind of versatility that has made Washington one of Trevor Lawrence's most trusted targets.
Before the season, Washington said he wasn't focused on his contract situation and would leave those discussions to his agent. His job, he said, was simply to continue making plays for Lawrence. And so far, that approach appears to be working.
The longer Washington continues producing at this level, the more expensive keeping him in Jacksonville is likely to become. And after Sunday's performance in London, Washington has given the Jaguars another compelling reason to make sure somebody else isn't the team writing that check.
