Philadelphia Eagles' All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson has announced that he is retiring ahead of the team's Week 5 matchup with theJacksonville Jaguars.
Johnson, 36, "pondered retirement" during the offseason, according to ESPN. Prior to last Sunday's game against the LA Rams, Johnson was ruled inactive that morning for personal reasons.

He started at right tackle during the Eagles' first three games of this season. In his absence last week, Markel Bell got the start.
The fourth overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft, Johnson spent his entire career with the Eagles, where he won two Super Bowls, was named to six Pro Bowls, and was a two-time first-team All-Pro.
The Jaguars' defense is once again one of the best
run-defense units in the NFL, while the pass rush ranks 11th in pressure rate.
