Former Jaguars S Andrew Wingard makes Cardinals' debut
Wingard would end up playing 55 defensive snaps against the LA Chargers. He madefour total tackles, two of which were for a loss. In coverage, he surrendered two receptions for 45 yards, according to PFF, but Wingard also came away with a fourth-quarter interception.

Among all safeties in Week 1, Wingard had the 11th-best overall grade by PFF's metrics.
Without Wingard, Antonio Johnson took over at safety next to Eric Murray. Johnson is
coming off a breakout season in 2025. Caleb Ransaw filled the third safety role in Anthony Campanile's defense.
Wingard originally signed with the Jaguars as a UDFA following the 2019 NFL draft.
