Sunday's Week 4 matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cincinnati Bengals will be the 27th meeting all-time between these two teams.
The winner will hold the series advantage. Entering this week's game, the Jaguars have 13 wins and so do the Bengals.
That said, the Bengals have controlled the series as of late, winning the last four matchups between these two teams, including last season.
The Jaguars were able to win back-to-back games in 2017 and 2019, but Cincinnati has won eight of the last 10 meetings.
It was in the early years of this series that the Jaguars were able to gain the upper hand. From 1998 through 2005, Jacksonville won 9 of 10 games.
For quarterback Trevor Lawrence, he is looking to get his first-ever career win over the
Bengals. He is currently 0-3, with Cincinnati being the last AFC foe that Lawrence is yet to defeat.
Cincinnati may have the advantage in recent years, but the good news is that what happened in the past has no bearing on Sunday's contest.
