Following the Jacksonville Jaguars' Week 5 win over Philadelphia, here is a look at which players received the best and worst PFF grades.
Now, before we dive into all that, I do want to mention that while PFF's grading system is certainly helpful at quantifying a player's performance, it is not the be-all and end-all when it comes to evaluations. It is one tool out of many that are out there and should be treated as such.
For some context around these grades, below is the grading scale.
- 39.9 or less: Poor
- 90.0+: Elite
- 80-89.9: High quality
- 70-79.9: Good
- 60-69.9: Above average
- 50-59.9: Average
- 40-49.9: Below average
Jaguars' 5 highest-graded players on offense vs. Eagles
- WR Parker Washington: 84.2
- RG Ezra Cleveland: 78.9
- WR Travis Hunter: 75.1
- RB Bhayshul Tuten: 74.8
- WR Josh Cameron: 68.7
Another game, another big performance from Washington. Cameron, meanwhile, continues to make the most of his opportunities. Hunter's role on offense was small, but he had one reception for nine yards that picked up a first down. Tuten continues to be really difficult
to bring down. Cleveland allowed just one QB pressure.
Jaguars' 5 highest-graded players on defense vs. Eagles
- LB Ventrell Miller: 92.6
- DT Ruke Orhorhoro: 82.6
- DT DaVon Hamilton: 82.5
- DE Josh Hines-Allen: 74.5
- LB Foye Oluokun: 72.4
This entire group had two-plus QB pressures each, and the front seven as a whole was again excellent against the run.
Jaguars' 3 lowest-graded players vs. Eagles
- CB Montaric Brown: 29.5
- DE Danny Striggow: 41.4
- CB Jarrian Jones: 42.6
The caveat with Brown is that he only played six snaps but was credited with allowing a 62-yard completion. Striggow had a missed tackle attempt -- which brought his overall grade down -- and no QB pressures in seven pass-rush snaps. Jones allowed just three completions on nine targets for 27 yards, with a passer rating of 42.4, but I guess PFF was unimpressed.
