Two weeks into the Jacksonville Jaguars' 2026 season, Travis Hunter's usage is beginning to be questioned.
The vast majority of Hunter's snaps have come on defense, which isn't unexpected. So far, he's played 66 cornerback reps, which accounts for a modest 58% of the Jaguars' total defensive snaps.
With Montaric Brown and Jarrian Jones joining Hunter, the Jaguars have opted to utilize a rotation at cornerback. Earlier in the week, head coach Liam Coen said that the team is "going to look at giving (Hunter) some more (reps)."

That said, the cornerback rotation isn't going away either.
On offense, Hunter's role has been minimal, with him playing just 11 total snaps through the first two games. But Coen and Co. will continue to look for different ways to get him involved.
So what does Hunter think of all this? He's on board with the approach.
"Coaches tell me what I've got to do. I just follow the plan and follow their lead," Hunter said after the Denver game, via ESPN. "My job is to play no matter when they put me out there so that's what I try to do."
The Jaguars clearly have a plan, however, giving Hunter more opportunities to make plays -- on either side of the ball -- wouldn't be a bad thing.
Hunter has one reception for eight yards on offense, while at cornerback, he's surrendered three receptions on four targets for 28 yards with a pass breakup. He's been penalized once as well.
