Entering the 2026 NFL season, what is the biggest strength of this year's Jacksonville Jaguars team?
ESPN's Michael DiRocco, who covers the Jaguars, recently set out to answer that question. His selection was the Jacksonville wide receiver unit, led by Brian Thomas Jr., Jakobi Meyers, and Parker Washington, along with Travis Hunter.
"With a healthy Brian Thomas Jr., a more comfortable Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington set for an increased role, this is one of the most talented group of receivers the Jaguars have had," wrote DiRocco.
Each receiver has their own individual talents and playmaking abilities that they bring to the receiver position, but what may end up really separating this room is how the trio complements each other.
From a defensive
standpoint, you don't have the luxury of honing in on any one of these wideouts because that then leaves the other two in one-on-one situations.
And as DiRocco notes, there are also a wide variety of skill sets that opponents have to account for. Thomas Jr. can win downfield, Meyers will work over the middle and on intermediate routes, while Washington is very good after the catch. Then there is Hunter, who brings more playmaking potential to the offense.
Trevor Lawrence will have no shortage of targets and big play threats in the passing game this season.
